ASRC SKW (ASKW) is currently finishing its third recent project at the Barrow Airport. This latest project involves runway replacement, apron and taxiway resurfacing, new ILS systems as well as general lighting improvements.

Significant owner requested changes to the design and location of this project midstream necessitated major coordination between all parties. ASKW served not only as the general contractor, but also as a major consultant in the redesign and rescheduling of this project. In total, this project included over 900,000 CY of borrow material and 70,000 tons of asphalt.
ASKW was tasked with taking on several new ILS systems from conceptual design to completion. The coordination between the FAA, DOT and other highly technical subcontractors were required, and successfully completed.
ASKW is self-performing 90+% of this work. Sub-contracted work includes electrical, painting and grooving.
