This project is a 15,000 square foot addition that includes the following main elements: 18 bed Elder Care Program (assisted Living and Long Term Care); Physical Therapy; Home Health Services; Social Services; Specialty Clinic support, and Emergency Room Remodel.
This project is being funded in various phases. ASRC SKW Eskimos is installing the building’s pile foundation system and completing the remodel/renovation of the hospital’s existing emergency room. This work is being performed while the facility remains in operation. We closely coordinate our efforts and requirements pertaining to infectious disease and dust control with the Maniilaq Staff.
We maintain negative air in our working areas within the hospital to contain the dust and debris developed by the renovation. The negative air monitor is located on the exterior of the renovation areas, allowing the Owner to read negative air pressures at all times.
The hospital staff and our construction staff are in constant contact regarding our needs and their needs during this process. We work as a team to clean and disinfect areas targeted for renovation, prior to start of the work activities. This reduces the possible exposure to infectious diseases for our crews.
