This project scope of Package 1 included construction of a complete water and sewer system including treatment facilities and distribution systems. The facilities included a water distribution pump house, a sewer treatment plant. And a new well house. The project included water well development and construction of a 500,000 gallon water storage tank for water storage use for the distribution system. Construction of Package 2 included water and wastewater distribution utilizing direct bury construction methods (traditional trenching and excavation) for installation of HDPE piping. The work included raw water intake, water distribution, and sewage collection and treated effluent force main piping.
This project’s scope was to direct bury sewer and water piping village-wide with insulated HDPE 6” and 8” pipe. The scope also included 125 residential service connection stub-outs. The main sewer line was equipped with circulation glycol heat trace and each service live contained an electrical heat trace. The water system was closed circuit and water moved via a circulation pump throughout the village. Although we were faced with the challenge of 44,000 feet of rocsaw and black hole trenching during sub-zero temperatures, this project’s three year schedule was successfully completed in two years’ time utilizing approximately 65% local personnel.
This project scope of Package 1 includes construction of a complete water and sewer system including treatment facilities and distribution systems. The facilities include a 3,900 square feet water treatment plant, a 3,700 square feet sewer treatment plant, and associated yard piping. The project includes construction upgrades of two existing water storage tanks. Construction of Package 2 includes water and wastewater distribution utilizing direct bury construction methods (winter trenching utilizing rocsaw for excavation) for installation of 24,000 Lf of insulated HDPE piping. Other construction included raw water intake, water distribution, and sewage collection and treated effluent force main piping.
